The Voice of Michigan’s Diverse Communities

The Michigan Banner is a Saginaw-based multicultural media organization dedicated to delivering independent, community journalism across Michigan. For over 22 years, we’ve been sharing the stories of individuals and organizations, aiming to strengthen the bonds that unite us and empower our communities. We cover a variety of regions, including Bay City, Flint, Midland, Mount Pleasant, Saginaw and their surrounding areas. Our reporting spans a wide array of topics such as public policy, education, health care, sports, community events, and civic engagement.

In addition to our online site, we publish a bi-monthly print newspaper, ensuring that our news and stories reach every corner of our community. As a locally owned newspaper, we believe in the power of local journalism to make a positive difference in the lives of our readers.
