FLINT, MI — The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce’s African American Advisory Committee (AAAC) is set to host its Second Annual Black Business Brunch on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library. The event will celebrate the achievements of Black-owned businesses in Flint and Genesee County, offering an opportunity for local entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate, and gain support for business growth.
The brunch will feature a breakfast crafted by Chef Nate Brown of Fraiche Culture, adding a unique culinary experience to the morning’s festivities. During the event, the AAAC will present its Founders Awards, recognizing outstanding business pitches from AAAC members. Entrepreneurs interested in competing can submit their plans via the AAAC Facebook page, and the top-voted submissions will present live at the brunch. Winners will receive prize funding to further their business aspirations.
Founded to serve as a link between Flint’s African American business community and the Flint & Genesee Chamber, the AAAC supports the growth of Black-owned businesses by providing resources, fostering partnerships, and promoting economic development. Monthly meetings, held on the fourth Friday at local businesses, bring members together to discuss initiatives aimed at enhancing opportunities for underrepresented enterprises in the area.
Tickets for the brunch are $45, with limited seating to maintain an exclusive and engaging experience. Those interested in attending are encouraged to register early.
