FLINT, MI â The 46th Annual Citywide Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will take place on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Genesys Conference & Banquet Center, 805 Health Park Blvd, Grand Blanc. This yearâs theme, âEquity, Justice & Voting Rights,â highlights Dr. Kingâs enduring legacy.
The event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Clarence Nixon, CEO and Founder of t.Lab, a high-performance learning initiative for families and students. Founded in 2007, t.Lab has served over 3,800 participants globally, including individuals from the U.S., Kenya, Nigeria, Hungary, Lebanon, and the Philippines.
Focused on fostering global leadership, t.Lab has achieved exceptional outcomes, including a median ACT score of 30.7 among its students and over $17 million in college scholarships awarded. In recognition of its impact, Dr. Nixon and t.Lab were honored by the Information Technology Senior Management Forum.
Proceeds from the event will support the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund, which provides financial assistance to students attending Kettering University, Mott Community College, and the University of Michigan-Flint.

Organized by the Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Planning Committee, the tribute runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees will celebrate Dr. Kingâs legacy while supporting the education and empowerment of future leaders.
